Waste and Water Quality Project
Geographic focus: statewide
Activity Level: legislative and administrative efforts, state regulatory agencies
The CCEEB Waste and Water Quality Project tracks all state waste and water legislation, acting in accordance with member interests. CCEEB works closely with regulatory agencies to promote accountability and procedural streamlining, and to develop well-reasoned policies that can be successfully implemented. CCEEB encourages the application of sound science, including risk-based priority setting and economic analysis.
To protect our natural resources, a myriad of local, regional, state and federal regulations are enforced, by which business must comply. CCEEB advocates for consistency across jurisdictions to avoid the costs and delays resulting from conflicting or overlapping regulations. Enforcement should be equitable and aimed at compliance.
